There is something so beautiful I want to share about this bride.
There were many moments when things were going back and forth because of my dates. I had already committed to her wedding, but at the same time I was called to Ludhiana to receive an award from the Governor. Still, I was very clear in my heart that this bride’s day would not be compromised for anything.
I simply said, if the award has to happen, it can happen another time. This bride’s day is her day, and I was not going to let anything disturb that promise.
When I finally met her, I could see the sparkle in her eyes. But what touched me even more was the sparkle in her mother’s eyes too. That moment felt so full of love, trust, and happiness. It was one of those moments that stays in your heart forever.
Because I had enough time, I tried different looks on her. I wanted her to feel completely sure of what we were doing. When there is no rush, you can experiment a little more, you can understand the bride better, and you can create something with more calm and care.
And then came the most beautiful part.
She was fully ready, wearing a gorgeous lehenga by one of the finest designers in the country, Manish Malhotra. I happened to make a video call, and to be so kind and so sweet, he answered. The bride was over the moon. She was beyond happy. She got to show him how beautiful the lehenga looked on her, how comfortable she felt in it, and how perfectly the colour and head veil came together.
That small moment meant so much.
Really, these little things may look small from the outside, but they create the biggest feelings in a bride’s heart. A few seconds of kindness, a few words, a simple video call, can become a memory for life.
Manish, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this bride feel so special by answering her video call. It may have taken just three minutes of your time, but for her, this is something she will remember for her entire life.
